Aquatic Experts KloudAway contains active ingredients that work as a coagulating agent. This agent targets unsightly particles in water, such as uneaten fish food, dust, and other debris, to produce crystal clear water. The microparticles clump together, making it easier for mechanical filters to catch them.
When using KloudAway, turn off the aquarium lights. Use 1 capful (5ml) of the solution per 10 gallons of aquarium water. Keep the filter and aeration systems running. Allow at least 12 hours for the flocculation process to complete. If necessary, the aquarium may be re-treated after 24 hours.
To determine what's causing the freshwater aquarium to be cloudy, take a clear glass, scoop up some aquarium water, and hold the glass against a white sheet of paper. Compare the water color to the chart provided to identify the issue.
The water may turn brown after using KloudAway, but this is not harmful and will dissipate in a few days. You must have a mechanical filter pad (FilterFirst) to trap floating particles and remove them from the water. However, do not use KloudAway in saltwater aquariums, as the active ingredients are not compatible with saltwater.
After adding KloudAway, the water may appear cloudier. This is because the particles in the water are starting to clump together and become more visible. This is a sign that the product is working.
